Assembling the Portcullises

From Virtual Flight, you can begin this activity by clicking on the foundation on the side farthest from the encampment.

In this activity you must assemble a model of the portcullis, or sliding door mechanism used by the ancient Egyptians in securing the treasures inside pyramid.

This is a 3-D assembly puzzle.

1. After the opening animation, click on the Security Chief to move closer.
2. Begin the puzzle by clicking on the miniature model on the table.
3. Assemble the puzzle in the following order:

Put the 3 light colored walls in place.
Set the 6 small pegs in the floor holes at the base of the 2 side walls.
Place the 3 portcullises doors into the tracks atop the pegs.
Place the 3 logs atop the portcullises.
Finally, click the rope bundle atop the center of the model.

After having solved the puzzle, take the scroll from Venomar, the Regent, and place it in the inventory area next to the Scarab. Once you have completed this activity, click on the blue arrow to back out to the main screen. You can now click on the Isis symbol nearby to return to Virtual Flight.
