McGraw-Hill Home Interactive Selects Oracle WebServer For Fledge:

Customizable Web Site For Kids Showcases Oracle's Internet Technology.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., Sept. 26, 1996: McGraw-Hill Home Interactive (MHHI) today announced that it has selected Oracle's WebServer technology for Fledge (www.fledge.com), MHHI's fully customizable starting point to the World Wide Web. Fledge allows kids ages 10 and up to personalize their Fledge page based on their interests, favorite graphical look and feel, and frequently used search criteria. MHHI chose Oracle for its Internet technology expertise and ability to furnish Fledge with an integrated comprehensive Web server and database solution that allows kids to tailor the Fledge site to their personal preferences.

Fledge incorporates the Oracle® Universal Server® and Oracle WebServer to provide customization and personalization, along with a database of reviewed sites. The Oracle Web solution allows Fledge users to conduct sophisticated queries and delivers interactive capabilities to the Fledge site.
